Meet The Team

Gregory Case is a 30-plus-year hospitality professional with progressive career growth with such companies as Hilton, Starwood and Hyatt Hotels. He transitioned into senior living over 10 years ago and has held executive director positions in both north San Diego County and south Orange County.  

Greg was born on Coronado Island in San Diego and spent his formative years in Kentucky, Texas and Michigan as the family followed his stepfather’s career as a partner in a large international accounting firm. To this day, he is so grateful to have traveled to many parts of the country at an early age and gained insight into and respect for the varied cultures that make up our great country. 

 Greg attended the University of Michigan for pre-med studies and eventually graduated from Hilton College of Hotel Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. Greg has managed budget, luxury and resort properties in Texas, Colorado, Louisiana, Iowa and California. During that time, he realized an innate passion for service and serving that still burns bright in him today. He has found his “calling” both professionally and personally.  

When Greg is not working, it’s all about family. He remarks that he has been blessed to be married to Cindy for over 25 years. They have a baby who is a 4-pound Yorkie named Franni that completes their home. Greg enjoys art, architecture and bicycling. 

Ann Robinson is the Vibrant Life^® director for La Marea, and while she has worked with the senior population in different capacities and settings, her favorite role is being an activity director. Prior to joining La Marea, she worked as an assistant activity director at a senior living community for nearly five years. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and finds connections between her education and her work as both involve organizational dynamics and human relations.

This role is Ann’s passion. Her Filipino upbringing places a strong cultural value on love and respect for the elderly. It is Ann’s mission to make each day count for the residents. She loves getting to know them and ensuring every resident remains involved through activities. Seeing the residents happy makes Ann happy.   

Ann lives in Carlsbad with her husband and their two children. When not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. 

Melissa Kramer’s dedication to serving seniors formed in her early years when caring for her grandmother with Alzheimer’s. During her time working in the senior living industry, Melissa has served as a memory care activity director, is a certified dementia practitioner and is pursuing additional studies in gerontology. Melissa feels strongly about assisting families during the difficult transition of moving into a senior living community.  

In her free time, Melissa enjoys hiking, trying new things, doing puzzles and playing board games, and spending time with her two children.

Reika Villagomez Marron joins the La Marea family with over 14 years of experience in senior living and care. She began her career as a caregiver in Pensacola, Florida, in 2008, and eventually became the lead resident services secretary for the same community. In 2012, Reika relocated to California and has spent time working at multiple senior living communities. Her favorite part of the job is being able to work with amazing people and residents.

As the Business Office director, Reika looks forward to spending more time with La Marea’s wonderful staff and deepening both professional and personal connections. She and her office pug, Samson, are grateful for the warm welcome and look forward to life at La Marea! 

Andre McShae brings over 20 years of experience working as a culinary director in senior living to La Marea. He earned his degree in culinary and fine arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France, and advanced through their master’s culinary program at their sister location in Pasadena and Hollywood, Calif. He also studied nutrition at Cal Poly Pomona, earning his certification as a Certified Dietary Manager. 

In his free time, he enjoys building Harley-Davidsons, writing and spending time in the kitchen with his family.
